I disagree totally. Sure, the oil manufacturers claim the motorcycle oil is 'different' and better - of course they would - they make more money that way!
Notice how all the advertising for motorcycle oil never mentions specifics: no details on exactly _why_ it's supposedly better. No mention of extra compounds etc.
I have always used Castrol GTX 10w40 in all my motorcycles and changed it regularly. I have _never_ had any engine problems of any kind.
